AceShowbiz - Diddy has been transferred to a new prison facility in Pennsylvania following reports of a fight and contraband issues at his previous location.
On October 16, 2026, TMZ reported that the music mogul was relocated from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to the Federal Corrections Institution in Allenwood, Pennsylvania. This new facility is a low-security prison housing approximately 1,000 inmates, a significant decrease from the 4,000 inmates at Fort Dix. While this change appears to be related to security, the federal Bureau of Prisons has not officially confirmed the reason for the transfer.
A representative for Diddy, Juda S. Engelmayer, highlighted the importance of the rapper’s safety and well-being in a statement to XXL. He noted that the move from one low-security institution to another demonstrates a focus on security and expressed gratitude for the attention given to Diddy’s situation. The representative also expressed hope that he can continue serving his sentence without further disruptions.
During his time at Fort Dix, Diddy reportedly lost 41 days of good time credit and 400 days of commissary privileges because of multiple infractions. Last month, he was placed in the Special Housing Unit (SHU) after an NBC News investigation revealed he had contraband items, including massages, alcohol, and a cell phone.
The report further stated that Diddy was caught on video attempting to use a contraband cell phone. Sources also claimed that he leveraged his money and influence to receive unauthorized perks, such as having other inmates cook for him and do his laundry. These allegations led to several raids by prison staff, during which numerous contraband cell phones were confiscated.
There were also reports that Diddy sustained a head injury during a fight with one of the inmates involved in the contraband situation. However, a spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons denied that any fight took place, calling those claims false in a statement to TMZ.
Diddy is currently scheduled for release on March 2, 2028.
