AceShowbiz - Diddy is confronting a new legal challenge in Los Angeles as a civil lawsuit filed by Bryana "Bana" Bongolan moves closer to trial. The case centers on an alleged attack that took place in 2016 at a high-rise apartment.
Bongolan, who is a creative director and a close associate of Cassie Ventura, claims that during the incident, Diddy entered Cassie's Los Angeles residence and held her over the railing of a 17th-floor balcony. According to the lawsuit, she was reportedly suspended there for about "10 to 15 seconds" before being thrown onto patio furniture below.
The lawsuit details that the event caused Bongolan visible bruises, along with back and neck pain, and resulted in lasting emotional trauma. This civil case follows Bongolan’s prior testimony during Diddy's June 2025 criminal trial, in which Cassie Ventura was a key witness for the prosecution.
During the criminal trial proceedings, Bongolan initially invoked her Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination. This prompted the judge to grant her immunity to allow her testimony. On cross-examination, Diddy's defense team questioned whether she was under the influence of drugs during the alleged event, a claim she denied, stating her motivation was to seek justice.
The civil lawsuit names Diddy, Bad Boy Entertainment LLC, and CeOpco LLC as defendants. It is scheduled to proceed to trial on May 3, 2027.
Currently, Diddy is incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, with a projected release date set for April 15, 2028. He is actively appealing his Mann Act conviction and is also requesting a jury trial in a separate $20 million lawsuit filed by Clayton Howard.
