AceShowbiz - Toy Robot Video has unveiled its November home entertainment slate, headlined by the worldwide 4K UHD premieres of The Corruptor and Above The Law. Both titles are set to arrive on November 10, marking the first time either film has been released in the 4K UHD format anywhere in the world.
The two 4K debuts anchor a month that also includes the North American Blu-ray premiere of Zipang, a fantastical samurai tale that will reach Blu-ray in the region for the first time on November 17.
Above The Law holds a notable place in action cinema history as the film debut of Steven Seagal. The film launched Seagal's screen career and helped establish him as a leading figure in the action genre. Its arrival on 4K UHD represents the first time the film has been made available in the format worldwide.
The Corruptor is described as a Chinatown showdown, a crime thriller set against the backdrop of the neighborhood's criminal underworld. Like Above The Law, it will make its worldwide 4K UHD premiere on November 10, giving collectors and fans of the genre a chance to experience the film in the highest available home video quality.
Both The Corruptor and Above The Law will be released in 4K UHD and Blu-ray formats. The simultaneous worldwide 4K UHD premieres mark a significant moment for both titles, which have previously been available only in standard high-definition and earlier formats.
Zipang rounds out the November slate with its North American Blu-ray debut on November 17. The film, described as a fantastical samurai tale, has not previously been available on Blu-ray in North America, making this release the first opportunity for regional audiences to own the film in the format.
The November lineup reflects Toy Robot Video's continued focus on bringing catalog titles to modern formats, with two worldwide 4K UHD premieres and one regional Blu-ray debut scheduled across the month.
