AceShowbiz - Hatsune Miku is set to release a new EP, Emerge M♡De Miku, on September 25 as part of the BEYOND BORDERs initiative from Japanese media and technology company Dwango, in partnership with Nebula17.

The project brings the Vocaloid icon together with a new generation of Western artists, producers and songwriters, exploring what happens when Vocaloid culture and Western music intersect. Among the contributors are Odetari, Grimes, slayr, George Clanton, Frost Children, XAMIYA and MOLIY, alongside producers and songwriters behind work with artists such as Tate McRae, Bad Bunny, Charli xcx and Ariana Grande.

The collaboration Miku-Maxxing with Grimes was announced at the 2026 Anime Expo during the sold-out Japan Music Vocaloid showcase. It was closely followed by Light with slayr and XAMIYA, and by Party Monster with Odetari.

MOLIY's track All Mine will be released alongside the EP on September 25.

At its core, the project tells a larger story about Miku and the evolution of a distinctly Japanese digital music phenomenon into a global cultural force. What began as music software has evolved into a virtual idol, character and international cultural icon, supported by a community-driven creative ecosystem that has crossed borders, genres and traditional definitions of what an artist can be.
