AceShowbiz - Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, set to premiere on May 27 after a two-year break. The new season continues the gripping mystery as Pip Fitz-Amobi, played by Emma Myers, dives back into investigation mode following the disappearance of Jamie Reynolds, a key witness in the upcoming trial of Max Hastings.
The trailer opens with Pip narrating the town of Little Kilton’s attempt to move forward from the traumatic events surrounding the Andie Bell case. Pip herself hopes for peace and “no more murder,” but the mystery deepens quickly when Connor Reynolds informs her that his brother Jamie has gone missing just days before he was to testify.
This disappearance propels Pip to restart her true-crime podcast, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, and launch a fresh investigation. She distributes “Missing” posters around town, urging residents to be vigilant. Pip believes Jamie’s vanishing is intricately linked to the trial and is determined to uncover the truth before time runs out.
As Pip digs deeper, she receives a chilling warning: “Who will look for you when you’re the one who disappears?” This message foreshadows the personal risks Pip faces as she plunges further into the case. The investigation brings complicated connections to light, but Pip is cautioned that “not everything is a conspiracy.”
The trailer also highlights the emotional toll the case takes on Pip. Her friend Cara Ward confronts her with a stark question: “Who else are you gonna sacrifice along the way?” Pip’s relentless pursuit leads her to isolate herself from those closest to her, but eventually, she recognizes the importance of accepting help and support from others.
With the police likely to halt their search after the critical first 72 hours pass without finding a body, Pip’s urgency escalates. She admits to uncovering answers that she “didn’t want to find,” emphasizing the high stakes of the investigation. The trailer closes with a desperate plea from Pip: “Help me!”
The upcoming season will consist of six episodes, continuing to follow Pip’s journey. Alongside Emma Myers, the cast includes Henry Ashton as Max Hastings, Zain Iqbal, Asha Banks, Yali Topol Margalith, Jude Morgan-Collie, Misia Butler, Jack Rowan, Anna Brindle, Peter Sullivan, Freddie Thorp, Lu Corfield, Stephanie Street, and Freddie England.
The show is adapted from Holly Jackson’s bestselling book series and created for television by Holly Jackson and Poppy Cogan, who also serve as executive producers alongside Matthew Read, Matthew Bouch, Frith Tiplady, Dolly Wells, Simon Crawford Collins, and Asim Abbasi. Fans can look forward to the thrilling new season debuting on Netflix on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
