AceShowbiz - Tyla has secured her second No. 1 hit on Billboard's Rhythmic Airplay chart with her single Chanel, which tops the list dated March 14. This follows two weeks spent at the runner-up position.
The song's rise to the top reflects its status as the most-played track on rhythmic radio stations across the United States during the tracking week of Feb. 27 through March 5, according to Luminate data. It saw a 6% increase in spins compared to the previous week.
Chanel, released through FAX Records/Epic Records, dethroned Bruno Mars' I Just Might, which had spent three weeks at No. 1 before dropping to No. 2 following a 7% decline in weekly plays.
Prior to Chanel, Tyla first topped the Rhythmic Airplay chart with her debut hit Water, which held the No. 1 spot for one week in December 2023. Besides these two chart-toppers, she has achieved two other top 10 hits: Push 2 Start peaked at No. 6 in March 2025, and the collaboration PBT with Travis Scott and Vybz Cartel reached No. 5 last December.
Chanel is expected to feature on Tyla's upcoming second studio album, A-Pop. The artist revealed the album's title at the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 2, the same night she won her second award for Best African Music Performance for Push 2 Start, following her earlier win for Water at the 2024 ceremony.
Beyond rhythmic radio, Chanel is making steady gains on other charts. It climbed from No. 16 to No. 13 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, with a 7% increase in plays, and moved from No. 24 to No. 22 on the Pop Airplay chart, increasing 3% in weekly spins.
The song also improved its position on audience-based charts, rising from No. 25 to No. 19 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, where it gained 11% to reach 4.7 million audience impressions. On the all-genre Radio Songs chart, it advanced from No. 24 to No. 22 with a 3% growth in audience to 22 million.
Tyla's continued success with Chanel reflects her growing influence across multiple radio formats, solidifying her presence in the music industry with a series of high-performing singles.
