AceShowbiz - Tyla has announced the official release date for her eagerly awaited second album, A*Pop, which is scheduled to drop on July 24.

The announcement was teased with an album trailer released on Wednesday, portraying the upcoming record as “African,” “Unapologetic,” “Confident,” and “Global.” This new project follows her debut self-titled album and builds on the momentum from her popular single “Chanel” as well as her Y2K-inspired collaboration “She Did It Again” with Zara Larsson.

Earlier this year, in February, Tyla confirmed to Rolling Stone that she was working on her second album. Reflecting on the creative process, she shared that her first album was produced in a rushed and hectic environment, describing it as “overnight craziness.” She expressed that now, feeling more settled, she has gained clarity on her artistic direction and the messages she wants to convey.

“I just knew that as I lived through the making of the album, it was going to fall into place, which it did,” she said. Tyla emphasized that this new work represents something fresh and distinctly her own, signaling an evolution in her sound and artistic identity.
