AceShowbiz - Offset is pushing back against allegations that he instigated a confrontation at a Los Angeles weed dispensary in March 2025, asserting that a security guard provoked the incident. The rapper’s legal team is actively seeking to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the guard.
The dispute unfolded at the MedMen LAX dispensary, where security guard Jim Sanchez accused Offset of striking him after being asked to present identification. Sanchez also claimed members of the rapper’s entourage assaulted him during the altercation.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Offset denies initiating the altercation and counters that Sanchez spat on him first. The guard suffered injuries including headaches and neck pain, leading him to seek damages for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Initially, Offset faced a misdemeanor simple battery charge related to the incident. However, his attorney entered a not guilty plea and successfully had the arrest warrant withdrawn.
This dispensary scuffle is just one among several legal challenges confronting Offset in 2026. In April, he survived a shooting outside the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Florida when a large group attempted to rob him. The FBI took over the investigation due to the casino’s location on federally recognized Seminole tribal land, releasing images of suspects and vehicles linked to the attack.
That same month, a Detroit casino filed a lawsuit against Offset demanding $100,000 over an alleged unpaid gambling debt. Additionally, a music producer has sued him for money owed concerning unreleased tracks.
Faced with mounting financial and legal pressures, Offset continues to navigate a complex web of disputes. The MedMen dispensary case remains one of his earliest ongoing legal battles this year, highlighting the challenges the rapper is currently confronting.
