AceShowbiz - European media giant RTL Group has revealed the leadership lineup that will oversee its newly merged German operations after receiving regulatory clearance to acquire Sky Deutschland.

The integration plan combines executives from both RTL and Sky into a unified management team, with the current CEO of RTL Deutschland appointed as the head of the consolidated business. This leadership structure aims to streamline operations as the merger progresses.

The takeover deal secured regulatory approval earlier this week and is scheduled to be finalized on June 1. Following the completion, Elke Walthelm, who presently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Sky Deutschland, will transition to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at RTL Deutschland.

Meanwhile, Michael Radelsberger, currently Managing Director of Sky Austria and Sky Media, will assume the position of Chief Consumer Officer within the combined company. These changes reflect a strategic redistribution of key roles to optimize the merged entity's market presence and operational efficiency.

This leadership restructuring represents a significant step for RTL as it expands its footprint in the German pay-TV market through the acquisition of a major competitor.
