AceShowbiz - The rapper Pooh Shiesty, his father Lontrell Williams Sr., and fellow rapper Big30 have been arrested in connection with a January armed robbery and kidnapping involving fellow artist Gucci Mane and two others.
Federal authorities took into custody eight defendants this week, with a ninth suspect still at large, all linked to the incident that took place on January 10 at a Dallas recording studio. The Department of Justice revealed that the meeting had been arranged by Pooh Shiesty to discuss contract terms with Gucci Mane and two music industry professionals identified only by their initials, M.M. and B.P.
According to the DOJ, once the victims entered the studio, Shiesty and his group launched a coordinated armed takeover. Allegedly, Shiesty brandished an AK-style pistol and forced Gucci Mane to sign contract termination documents, effectively releasing him from his deal with 1017 Records.
The "Back In Blood" rapper is also accused of stealing valuable personal items from Gucci Mane, including his wedding ring, watch, earrings, and cash. Meanwhile, the other defendants allegedly threatened the other victims with firearms, taking Rolex watches, jewelry, cash, and other valuable possessions. During the ordeal, Big30 reportedly blocked the studio door with his body to prevent the victims from escaping.
Authorities stated that the victim identified as M.M. was choked to near unconsciousness during the robbery. At the time of the incident, Pooh Shiesty was under home confinement for a prior firearms conspiracy conviction in Florida, having been released from prison in October 2025 after serving four years.
Investigators relied on multiple pieces of evidence to charge Shiesty and his accomplices, including fingerprints, rental car records, and social media posts that appeared to flaunt the stolen items mere hours after the crime.
If convicted, each defendant could face a life sentence. As of now, neither Pooh Shiesty, Big30, nor Gucci Mane have publicly commented on the allegations or the ongoing federal investigation.
