On March 5, Lily Collins expressed her profound gratitude on Instagram, thanking the family-owned jewelry store, @joethejewelerchicago, for their assistance in locating her lost engagement ring. She described the moment of having the ring back on her finger as “speechless,” emphasizing how much it means to her and her husband.
Inside the jewelry store, Lily posted another message appreciating the support of the team who helped bring the precious ring home. Accompanying photos showed the actress beaming with joy as she proudly displayed the large, oval-shaped diamond that had been reunited with its rightful owner.
The story began when Lily, 36, lost both her engagement ring and wedding band during a visit to a West Hollywood spa. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigated the theft but initially found no evidence of forced entry where her belongings were kept. Despite the absence of clues, the stolen items had remained missing until now.
Since marrying director Charlie McDowell in 2021, the couple has not only expanded their jewelry collection but also their family. In January 2025, they joyfully announced the birth of their daughter, Tove Jane McDowell, who was welcomed via surrogate.
Sharing the joyous news on Instagram, Lily and Charlie called their daughter “the center of our world,” expressing immense gratitude to their surrogate and everyone who supported them through the process. The heartfelt message ended with a loving note to their daughter: “We love you to the moon and back again.”
Although the couple has kept Tove’s face private on social media, they have offered glimpses into their life as a family of three. Marking their daughter’s first birthday, Lily Collins wrote in an Instagram post about how much their lives have changed and the overwhelming love they feel for Tove.
