AceShowbiz - Frankie Grande, known for his vibrant personality and reality TV presence, recently revealed a previously unseen audition tape for the hit show Survivor.
On March 4, the entertainer shared that he had "dug into the archives" to find his self-made audition video in celebration of the current 50th season of the competition series. Playfully, he noted that the tape was filmed "three noses ago," referencing his multiple rhinoplasties over the years. Although he didn't secure a spot on Survivor, he humorously admitted that he "ended up booking a stay at the Big Brother house instead."
The clip opens with a shirtless Frankie Grande giving a trademark Kubrick stare at the camera, with the sprawling cityscape of Los Angeles behind him. He then showcases a variety of physical talents, including breakdancing, diving, gymnastics, and even tree climbing, aiming to prove that he was ready for the demanding challenges that Survivor is famous for.
At one point in the tape, Frankie Grande confidently states, "I'm fully trained for it, because I was in the Broadway show Mamma Mia!" He explained this was his reasoning for believing he could be the "next" winner of the show, highlighting the unexpected similarities he found between Broadway and the intense competition of Survivor.
Despite not making it onto Survivor, Frankie Grande has achieved notable milestones since filming the audition. Notably, he participated in Big Brother season 16 in 2014, marking a significant moment in his reality TV career. Fast forward to 2025, Frankie Grande ventured into music, releasing an album called Hotel Rock Bottom in June of that year.
The album's title track features a remix collaboration with his sister, pop superstar Ariana Grande. Reflecting on the collaboration, Frankie Grande expressed how meaningful it was to have his sister on the song, writing, "This song is so personal to me, and having her on it makes it even more meaningful."
In sharing the video on social media, Frankie Grande wrote, "In honor of how epic #season50 is turning out, I dug into the archives (three noses ago) to find my @survivorcbs audition tape. Ended up booking a stay at the Big Brother house instead." The post captured fans’ attention, offering a fun glimpse into his pre-fame ambitions and charismatic personality.
As Survivor celebrates its milestone 50th season, Frankie Grande's throwback audition tape serves as a charming reminder of the diverse talents drawn to the show.
