AceShowbiz - BTS took center stage twice on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, delivering a memorable performance of their track "2.0" at New York City’s Guggenheim Museum.
The seven-member group had already captivated audiences the previous night performing "Swim" and engaging in a detailed interview with Fallon. For their rendition of "2.0", BTS performed energetically on the iconic museum’s floor, while fans observed from the circular balconies above, creating a unique and intimate concert atmosphere.
During the performance, RM was notably seated on a stool due to an ankle injury he sustained during rehearsals for their recent comeback concert. Despite this, the group maintained their trademark synchronized singing and dancing, showcasing their professionalism and dedication.
Arirang, the album featuring "2.0," marks BTS’s first full-length project since 2022. To create the album, all seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — relocated to Los Angeles and lived together for two months. This was their first time sharing a residence since 2019, fostering a collaborative and immersive creative process.
In his conversation with Fallon, RM explained the significance behind the album’s title. He revealed that "Arirang" is inspired by a well-known Korean folk song, which he described as a piece that profoundly represents Korean identity. He elaborated, "It includes lots of emotions in it. It could be joy. It could be sorrow, longings, sadness, whatever. Resistance."
He expressed hope that their new music would resonate universally, much like the traditional "arirang" song, touching listeners across different cultures and emotions.
