AceShowbiz - Beef season two will feature a new original score by acclaimed musician Finneas O'Connell, Netflix and A24 announced jointly on Thursday. The entire eight-episode season is set to premiere on April 16, 2026, with O'Connell responsible for composing all the music.

In a statement, Finneas O'Connell shared his excitement about the project, revealing he has spent the past year immersed in the world of Beef. "Spent the last 12 months in Beef land. All eight episodes out April 16, all original music by me," he said. He expressed gratitude to "Sonny" for involving him and praised the cast’s performances, mentioning he watched nearly every scene multiple times during scoring and felt deeply connected to the material. O'Connell described himself as a true fan of the show and honored to contribute.

The reference to "Sonny" is Lee Sung Jin, the creator and showrunner of Beef, who also goes by Sonny Lee. Lee spoke highly of O'Connell, calling him the brilliant mind behind much of the music that has defined his personal life over the last decade. He praised Finneas for his ability to turn dark emotions into beautiful sounds and expressed eager anticipation for audiences to hear the new score.

Beef season two follows the story of two newly engaged low-level country club employees, Ashley Miller (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin Davis (Charles Melton), who become entangled in the unraveling marriage of their general manager Joshua Martín (Oscar Isaac) and his wife Lindsay Crane-Martín (Carey Mulligan). The season explores tensions between these couples as they navigate personal and professional challenges.

The synopsis reveals that both couples compete for the favor of the country club’s billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung), who is herself dealing with a scandal involving her second husband, Doctor Kim (Song Kang-ho). The season also stars Seoyeon Jang, William Fichtner, Mikaela Hoover, and Korean rapper BM.

The first season of Beef starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. For season two, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny serve as executive producers alongside Lee Sung Jin, director Jake Schreier, Anna Moench, Kitao Sakurai, and Ethan Kuperberg.
