The festival, renowned globally for its dedication to the art of cinematography, will celebrate Cate Blanchett's extraordinary career and her consistent collaboration with some of cinema's most visionary directors of photography. The ceremony will take place during the festival’s closing gala in Toruń, Poland, with Camerimage 2025 scheduled from November 15–22.

Cate Blanchett is no stranger to the Camerimage festival, demonstrating her deep appreciation for cinematography. She previously chaired the competition jury in 2024, where she presented the Golden Frog to Danish cinematographer Michal Dymek for his work on Magnus von Horn’s Danish period horror drama The Girl with the Needle. In 2023, the festival's top prize was awarded to Warwick Thornton for his lensing of The New Boy, a film he also directed and which Cate Blanchett produced through her acclaimed production company, Dirty Films.
