Selena Gomez and her fiancé get candid about their relationship, sharing endearing stories from the early days of their romance that included an embarrassing first kiss.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez recently shared the touching and somewhat awkward story of her first kiss with her fiancé, music producer Benny Blanco, during a guest appearance on the "Table Manners" podcast hosted by Jessie and Lennie Ware.

The couple's candid reflection provides a heartfelt glimpse into their relationship, which has blossomed after years of trials and tribulations, particularly following Gomez's public breakup with Justin Bieber.

Gomez and Blanco, who announced their relationship in December 2023 and got engaged a year later, reminisced about their second date, which led to their memorable first kiss.

Blanco recalls, "Towards the end of the date, we were just sitting in the living room on the couch and we were playing [card game] We're Not Really Strangers. And there was a thing where it said, 'Take a selfie with the person next to you,' and she got right on my chest and took a selfie. And then right after, I just looked at her and I said, 'I gotta kiss this girl.' "

The kiss, as Gomez describes, was laden with emotion. "I kissed her right away, and her heart started beating so quickly, and she started getting a rash on her face," he joked. "She was so nervous."

Blanco's humor shone through as he shared how their first kiss made Gomez visibly flustered, joking that she was "allergic" to him.

Regardless, Gomez emphasized that the feelings behind the kiss were genuine and profound, "Some kisses are for fun, and then when you feel something behind a kiss, it's completely different."

This intimate moment marked a stark contrast to Gomez's emotional state after her decade-long, on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber officially ended. She confessed to feeling "alone" and not liking anyone for five years following the split. Despite enduring some "s**tty dates," she never felt a connection quite like the one she experienced with Blanco.

In addition to their telling their sweet first kiss story, the couple shared endearing anecdotes about the early days of their romance. He recalled, "When we first started going out on dates, she was so obsessed with being on time. She used to pull up to my house, minimum 20 minutes early, maybe 30 minutes early, and she would wait outside."

Gomez admitted to being nervous and excited, often using the extra time to call a friend for an emotional pep talk.

Their story serves as a reminder that true love often arrives at the most unexpected times, bringing with it a sense of completion and joy.
