After landing safely back on earth following their space travel with all-female crew, Gayle King and Lauren Sanchez confront naysayers with determination and insight.

AceShowbiz - Following their historic flight to the edge of space with an all-female crew, Gayle King and Lauren Sanchez addressed the ongoing scrutiny. Among the most vocal critics was actress Olivia Munn who balked at the exorbitant cost of the mission.

During a press conference, Gayle King remarked, "Anybody that's criticizing it doesn't really understand what is happening here." She added, "We can all speak to the response we're getting from young women from young girls about what this represents."

Jeff Bezos' fiancée Sanchez chimed in, "I get really fired up," before inviting critics to witness firsthand the dedication of Blue Origin's employees, who are deeply invested in the mission's goals.

"They put their heart and soul into this vehicle. So when we hear comments like that, I just say, trust me. Come with me. I'll show you what this is about, and it's, it's really eye-opening," Sánchez continued.

"They love their work and they love the mission and it's a big deal for them. So when we hear comments like that, I just say, trust me. Come with me. I'll show you what this is about, and it's, it's really eye opening," she went on.

The journey, marking a significant milestone as the first all-female crew since 1963, included pop star Katy Perry, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.

During her appearance on "Today With Jenna and Friends", Munn was skeptical of the flight, "What's the point? Is it historic that you guys are going on a ride? I think it's a bit gluttonous."

At the press conference, Bowe shared her personal journey, having overcome stereotypes to achieve academic and professional success in aerospace engineering. "I went from pre-algebra in community college to two degrees in aerospace engineering to working for NASA," she reflected, urging critics to understand the broader impact of such missions.
