According to Gomez, Swift and her mother were moved to tears upon hearing the song for the first time. "She and her amazing mom started to cry and then I started crying. It's very sweet," Gomez recalled.

She highlighted that she values Swift's honest opinions, often seeking her feedback before finalizing her albums. "I value her opinion so much because she's super honest," Gomez said. "I like to see what she thinks."
