AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber continues to show his vulnerable side on Instagram. While sharing a video of himself jamming out with fellow musicians, he penned a heartfelt message about the challenges he faces in staying true to himself.
"I think I hate myself sometimes when I feel myself start to become inauthentic," Bieber admitted. "Then I remember we're all being made to think we're not enough but I still hate when I change myself to please people."
Earlier that same day, Bieber posted another reflection, focusing on his battle with anger. "I got anger issues too, but I wanna grow and not react so much smh," he wrote.
The message was accompanied by pictures that spanned different phases of his life: a current photo with his face partially obscured by a hoodie, a childhood picture, and an image of his young son, Jack Blues, born in August 2024.
Bieber's revelations are part of a larger trend of self-reflection he has been sharing with his fans. Just a few days earlier, on March 13, he opened up about feeling unworthy despite people's compliments.
"People told me my whole life 'wow Justin u deserve that' and I personally have always felt unworthy. Like I was a fraud, Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky like, damn if only they knew my thoughts."
He continued, "How judgmental I am, how selfish I really am, they wouldn't be saying this... If you feel sneaky welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days."
In another deeply emotional message about his mental health battles, Justin talked about feeling suffocated by the suppression of hate since he was a young age.
"I was always told when I was a kid not to hate. But it made me feel like I wasn't allowed to have it and so I didn't tell anyone I've had it. Which made me feel like I was drowning, unsafe to acknowledge it," he remarked.
In February, a representative from Bieber's team revealed to TMZ that the past year had been "very transformative" for the pop star. "He ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him," the rep said.
Additionally, the rep addressed rumors about Bieber's drug use, dismissing them as "salacious" and "exhausting." He emphasized that Justin is currently focusing on supporting his wife, Hailey Bieber, being a dad, and concentrating on his health and art.
Justin Bieber's messages offer a window into his ongoing journey toward authenticity and self-growth, resonating powerfully with young people grappling with similar issues.
As the pop star continues to navigate his path, his candidness serves as a reminder that struggles with authenticity and self-worth are universal, and the pursuit of self-improvement is a lifelong journey.
