AceShowbiz - The 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, became another star-studded milestone for Taylor Swift. Dominating the fan-voted categories, Swift bagged several prestigious awards, including Artist of the Year for the second consecutive year and Tour of the Century for her record-breaking Eras Tour.
Swift's hit collaboration with Post Malone, "Fortnight," also earned accolades for Best Music Video and Best Lyrics, reaffirming her unparalleled influence in the music industry.
The "Cruel Summer" singer shared her gratitude in a pre-recorded video message, highlighting the immense challenges and subsequent rewards of her monumental Eras Tour.
"People often say that sometimes the greatest challenges in life end up being something that you are so proud of or end up being the most gratifying feeling in the end if you can rise to the occasion. And this tour was absolutely the most challenging thing I've ever done in my life," she confessed.
A highlight of the evening was Swift winning the Favorite Surprise Guest category, a new fan-voted honor in 2025. The award recognized an unforgettable moment when her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, surprised fans by appearing during her London performance at Wembley Stadium.
Other winners included Benson Boone's "Beautiful Things" which took home Song of the Year, the first male artist to win the title since 2021. Billie Eilish's "Hit Me Hard and Soft" was crowned Album of the Year. The night also saw Gracie Abrams celebrated as Breakthrough Artist of the Year while SZA continued her dominance in the R&B category.
In special recognitions, Lady Gaga received the Innovator Award, Mariah Carey was honored with the Icon Award, and Nelly was presented the Landmark Award, commemorating the 25th anniversary of his debut album, "Country Grammar."
The 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards highlighted the most-played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations and the app throughout 2024. Hosted by LL Cool J, the night featured dynamic performances from megastars like Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, GloRilla, and more.
Tributes were also paid to Los Angeles in the aftermath of recent wildfires, with donations channelled through FireAid.
The awards show, as always, proved to be a vibrant celebration of music's biggest talents, culminated by Swift's unprecedented success, marking yet another chapter in her illustrious career.
