AceShowbiz - Sydney Sweeney and her fiancé Jonathan Davino have postponed their wedding. According to TMZ, the delay is due to the couple's demanding schedules, though specific reasons for the hiatus remain undisclosed.
They were last publicly seen together in January and she posted PDA-filled snapshot from their holiday on Instagram. "The last few days of 2024 will forever be some of my favorite," she gushed.
The couple began their relationship in 2018 and got engaged in early 2022, keeping their relationship mostly out of the public eye. "Sometimes I feel guilty about it," she admitted in a 2022 interview with Cosmopolitan.
"I would love to share my normal life so that people can see that it's not all glamour. But I can't because, one, I like my privacy, and two, social media is another platform for business," she elaborated. "Sharing my life on it could go against the integrity of the business and brand I'm trying to create."
However, the low-key nature of their relationship didn't stop them from working together in movie industry. The couple teamed up as producers for "Anyone but You", a romcom that sparked hookup rumors between her and onscreen love interest Glen Powell. It was later revealed that Sweeney and Powell let the rumors spread on the internet to drum up anticipation for their movie.
Following "Anyone but You", Sweeney starred in Spider-Man spin-off "Madame Web", horror movie "Immaculate", and survival thriller "Eden". Her next projects include psychological thriller "The Housemaid", another thriller "Echo Valley", and a biopic about female boxer Christy Martin.
While she was very enthusiastic in 2023 when talking about her Pinterest board of ideas for her nuptials, she admitted in 2024 that she's too busy to focus on her wedding planning. "I am so busy working! I'm a workaholic and I love it, I love it," she told ET.
As young fans await further updates, Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino appear to be balancing love, career, and the pressures of public attention with remarkable grace.
