AceShowbiz - Cardi B and DJ Khaled have joined The Smurfs family, releasing "Higher Love" which serves as the soundtrack of the upcoming blockbuster movie. The track also features vocals from Desi Trill's Natania and Subhi.

"Higher Love" samples Belinda Carlisle's 1987 hit "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" and features Cardi B trading her raunchy rhymes for a more family-friendly canvas. Paramount Animation has released a lyric music video that included new footage of the movie.

DJ Khaled was excited about the project. "Growing up I remember always watching the Smurfs," he said. "It feels like a full-circle moment now having children of my own who watch the Smurfs as well, and I get to be a part of the soundtrack."

The Smurfs movie, directed by Chris Miller, features an all-star cast such as Rihanna as Smurfette, Nick Offerman, Daniel Levy, and Kurt Russell. The film is set to hit theaters this coming summer on July 18.

In addition to "Higher Love," Cardi B has promised the release of her sophomore album while DJ Khaled has announced his "Aalam of God" set.
