AceShowbiz - During a recent appearance on Adin Ross' podcast, Jake Paul recounted his experiences with psychedelic drugs, specifically mentioning "toad," a substance with venom that contains potent psychedelic chemical 5-MeO-DMT.
The YouTuber-turned-fighter then let it slip about Mike Tyson's health struggle and claimed the psychedelic "toad" had "cured Tyson's Parkinson's so he could come back and fight," an assertion that sparked a wave of reactions.
Tyson's team was quick to refute any such claims, "Mike is happy and perfectly healthy. He doesn't have Parkinson's or any other illness."
Jake Paul then backtracked on his dramatic statement, clarifying on X, "Mike Tyson didn't have no Parkinson's. Why the f*** is the internet so stupid for? I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain."
The misstep, however, had already begun to circulate widely on social media, with many fans and critics questioning Paul's initial remarks.
The fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson was initially scheduled for July 20 but postponed to November 15 due to Tyson's medical emergency on a plane and subsequent diagnosis of stomach ulcers.
When he finally faced off Paul in the boxing ring after a period of recovery, he ended up defeated by the YouTuber. Fans slammed the showdown as one-sided, due to Tyson's much-older age and medical issue.
Post-fight, the boxing icon admitted he nearly died in July and required multiple blood transfusions but he insisted he had no regret about his fight with Paul.
However, just earlier this month, Tyson confessed he forced himself to go ahead with the fight because he feared legal repercussions if he backed out. "I was worried about getting sued, you know, because I was like, 'God, they're going to sue me if I don't do this fight,' " he told Sean Hannity on Fox Nation.
