The buzz surrounding the upcoming release of 'Another Simple Favor' has been overshadowed by Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni explosive feud, leaving Anna Kendrick extremely miffed.

AceShowbiz - In the glitzy world of Hollywood, not everything is as perfect as it seems. Anna Kendrick is reportedly furious at Blake Lively. According to an insider, the "Pitch Perfect" actress accused the "Gossip Girl" alum of failing to address how her legal spat with "It Ends With Us" co-star Justin Baldoni is negatively impacting their upcoming movie, "Another Simple Favor".

The pair reunited for the sequel of their 2018 comedy-thriller, A Simple Favor, and are expected to embark on a promotional tour, but the plans were thrown into disarray as the new movie is instead overshadowed by Lively's very public legal issues.

Lively, 37, is bracing a court battle with Baldoni, 41, whom she accused of sexual harassment and a smear campaign in a bombshell lawsuit. In response, Baldoni countersued both Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 48, for $400 million for alleged extortion and defamation. All parties deny the allegations.

Despite the fallout bleeding into early promotion, Lively has reportedly done little to address the matter with the cast and crew. "There is a gigantic pink elephant in the room that no one is acknowledging," a source told DailyMail.com. "The backlash to initial promo has been brutal. There are people protesting and refusing to see it."

Another insider stated, "Blake has not addressed this. She has not called the cast to apologize. She has stayed quiet and hidden away. She owes Anna an apology. She owes them all an apology."

The tension is said to have escalated after the release of the film's first poster, which sparked an argument over billing placement between the actresses. The two female stars clashed as Lively insisted on having her name on the top billing, something that Kendrick had in the original film.

"In the original film, Anna got top billing over Blake," said a second insider. "She thought it was a no-brainer that the same would happen this time around. But Blake didn't see it that way. They fought through their reps, and finally, a deal was struck with equal billing - Anna's name first and Blake's above on the right-hand side."

Neither actress was reportedly thrilled with the outcome, but both accepted it.

The tension between Lively and Kendrick isn't new. Fans and insiders noticed the subtle shade and sarcastic comments the pair threw at each other while promoting the original movie in 2018.

With the current drama and the backlash over Lively's legal issues, Kendrick is reportedly reluctant to promote the movie. Executives and director Paul Feig are working tirelessly to refocus attention on the film and not the off-screen drama.

As the film's premiere at the SXSW Film and TV Festival in Austin, Texas, approaches, it remains uncertain if the feud will overshadow the film's success. One thing is clear, though - the drama behind the scenes is almost as gripping as the plot of the movie itself.
