Tom Cruise continues to push the boundaries of action cinema as he performs jaw-dropping stunts in the latest 'Mission: Impossible' film. Young audiences are in for an exhilarating experience.

AceShowbiz - Tom Cruise has once again shwed his unparalleled stunt skills in the newly released behind-the-scenes footage of "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning." The 62-year-old icon shared a clip on X, where he is seen hanging from an upside-down airplane flying thousands of feet in the air.

Director Christopher McQuarrie's reaction, "Jesus Christ," encapsulates the sheer audacity of the moment. Cruise captioned the post with, "Hang on...," appropriately underscoring the thrilling nature of the scene.

Cruise's commitment to performing his own stunts is well-documented, and the new footage is a testament to his dedication. In a 13-second clip, Cruise grits his teeth as he clutches a narrow bar attached to the top of a yellow plane, with the background revealing a height of 4,000 to 8,000 feet. Such heights are not unfamiliar territory for Cruise, known for his motorcycle base jump off a 1,246-meter cliff in "Mission: Impossible 7."

"Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning," set to hit theaters on May 23, promises a cinematic experience that, according to Cruise, must be seen in theaters. "It's a hard thing for me to discuss at the moment, because it really is something that you have to experience," he shared with Empire Magazine. He further hinted that the film is "an epic, emotional journey of the entire franchise… it's Homeric."

The dangerous stunt, filmed in South Africa, presented a unique challenge: the lack of oxygen at high speeds. Cruise explained, "When you stick your face out, going over 120 to 130 miles an hour, you're not getting oxygen. So I had to train myself how to breathe. There were times I would pass out physically; I was unable to get back into the cockpit."

Director McQuarrie acknowledged the risk and skill involved in the stunts, stating, "There are stunts in this movie that will melt your brain." He noted that one undisclosed stunt surpasses even the plane sequence, adding, "I truly want to puke thinking about the stress. It was intense."

Younger audiences, looking for adrenaline-fueled entertainment, will not be disappointed. Each new installment of the franchise elevates the stakes, with Cruise at the heart of every death-defying action scene. "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning" aims to deliver beyond expectations, continuing the legacy of groundbreaking stunts that leave fans breathless.
