'The View' co-host Sunny Hostin became emotional as she broke the news of her aunt passing away from a heart attack while discussing health awareness on the ABC talk show.

AceShowbiz - Sunny Hostin, 56, broke down in tears on the February 5 episode of "The View". During a segment on American Heart Month, she opened up about a personal tragedy in her family. "I'm sorry, my aunt died yesterday of a heart attack," she said.
Hostin's revelation came after guest host Star Jones, shared her own story of undergoing open-heart surgery 14 years ago. Eighty percent of cardiovascular disease is actually preventable by us doing lifestyle changes," Jones said.
"It's no magic bullet: eating better, getting some exercise," Jones continued before denouncing smoking as "the dumbest, most expensive, ridiculously life-threatening habit there is."
To the grieving Hostin, Jones offered words of comfort, "Understand that your aunt is at home with her God, and we are here to fulfill her legacy," before assuring Hostin that it's OK to show her vulnerable side, "We're your girls. You're supposed to be vulnerable with your girls. That's what it's about."
