AceShowbiz - Lili Reinhart, known for her role in "Riverdale", has opened up about the health struggles she faced in 2024, revealing her diagnosis with interstitial cystitis and an undiagnosed autoimmune disease.

In an interview with Self magazine, Reinhart shared that she was diagnosed with a condition involving an inflamed or irritated bladder wall. After experiencing unexplained symptoms during a filming trip in Germany, she underwent multiple hospital visits before receiving the diagnosis in October 2024.

Reinhart also disclosed that she had faced other health issues prior to the interstitial cystitis diagnosis, including unexplained gut issues, weight gain, hair loss, and the development of an eating disorder. She tested negative for Celiac disease and Crohn's disease before finally receiving the interstitial cystitis diagnosis.

In an Instagram post, Reinhart shared that her diagnosis came after the passing of her grandmother, who had faced similar health struggles.

Reinhart stated that her grandmother's experience inspired her to advocate for her own health, as she believes many women face similar challenges in getting their health concerns taken seriously.

"Listen to your body, and don't take no for an answer," Reinhart advised. "Don't let a doctor tell you that nothing's wrong when you know that there is."

Reinhart is currently undergoing weekly bladder instillations to help manage her symptoms. She said it's "the hardest year of [her] life."

She emphasizes the importance of advocating for one's health and encourages others to speak up if they believe something is wrong, even when faced with skepticism from medical professionals.
