AceShowbiz - Khloe Kardashian recently delved into the realm of parenting challenges on her new podcast, "Khloe in Wonder Land". She opened up about the inevitable childhood trauma her kids might face, despite their privileged lives.
The 40-year-old star, who shares her two children, True, 6, and Tatum, 2, with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, articulated a candid perspective on the fears she harbors regarding her kids' upbringing.
"We all have trauma. Whether it be big, or small. I always joke, I'm like, 'Well my kids better not talk about childhood trauma because they have the best freaking lives,' " she said. "And they do! But it's going to happen. It's the inevitable."
In an in-depth discussion with her first podcast guest, Scott Disick, who shares three children with Kourtney Kardashian, the conversation veered towards whether their children will follow in their parents' high-profile footsteps. "Now that we are both parents, what advice would you give to your kids? Do you want them to be a part of this world?" Khloe asked. Scott reflected, "I feel like it's up to them."
In a previous interview with Bustle, Khloe did share her concerns about how her children might respond to the pressures of such an upbringing. She also mentioned how she regrets sometimes exposing her kids to her own perfectionist habits.
"I notice sometimes my kids will want to line their toys up a certain way, and then I feel bad because I'm like, 'Oh gosh, they're mirroring what I'm doing,' " she admitted. "I've learned it's OK for me to show a messy room because I don't want them to feel like everything has to be perfect."
Back to the podcast, another prominent discussion was about the fear of all 13 Kardashian-Jenner grandkids growing up and hitting their teenage years together. "I am so terrified just for Storm, Chi, True and Dream to be teenagers at the same time," Khloe admitted. Scottk chimed in humorously about the future gatherings being a whirlwind of family members.
Despite the challenges, Khloe emphasized that her primary focus remains her children. "I don't know what will happen in a couple years or next year, I don't know. But I'm not dating, I don't care to. My focus is on just my kids," she candidly said to Scott.
It's clear Khloe Kardashian is dedicated to ensuring her children have a balanced, happy life, despite the hurdles that come with fame.
