The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, announces she is now in remission from cancer, several months after completing treatment and nearly a year after announcing diagnosis.

AceShowbiz - Nearly a year after her revealing her cancer diagnosis, Kate Middleton announced that she is officially in remission. The update came more than four months after she finished chemotherapy.

"It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery," she wrote on social media, emphasizing the new chapter she is embarking on. "As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal," she added, highlighting the emotional and physical transition that accompanies remission.

She gave update on her health shortly after she visited the hospital that had been pivotal in her treatment - The Royal Marsden. Expressing her deep appreciation, she said, "I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything."

"I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to," she stated. Her statement was accompanied by a photograph capturing a moment of her interacting kindly with a patient at the Royal Marsden Hospital, symbolizing her commitment to the cause.

In her new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, Kate aims to leverage her experience to drive forward groundbreaking research, clinical excellence, and support for patients and families. "My hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer," she shared.

The Princess of Wales claimed she discovered her diagnosis following surgery in January 2024 although conflicting reports emerged later about whether she had cancer or pre-cancerous cells.

She's not the only British royal announcing cancer - King Charles also claimed he's undergoing cancer treatment without disclosing what type of cancer he's battling. These announcements came as the royals faced scrutiny following Prince Williams' comments about Gaza and the family's past role in the conflict.
