AceShowbiz - In the aftermath of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, rapper The Game has stepped up to provide on-the-ground relief efforts. In a video shared on Instagram on January 12, he revealed that he has been distributing essential supplies to exhausted firefighters, including blankets, pillows, coffee, bananas, and water.
"We came out here this morning to bring anything we can to help these firemen," said The Game, 45, in the video. "They're doing big, amazing things here."
The rapper and his team also headed to Altadena, one of the affected neighborhoods, to rescue lost and abandoned pets and transport them to shelters. "It's a time where everybody needs everybody," The Game said. "It's like one of those times in America where everybody just needs to do anything they can to help."
The Game expressed his gratitude to the rescue workers, noting that his efforts were a small gesture compared to their contributions. "I am here for Los Angeles & I will always be here to do my part," he wrote in the post's caption.
The Game joins a host of celebrities who have stepped up to assist their communities amid the ongoing fires. Jennifer Garner has been spotted helping feed firefighters while Halle Berry has donated her wardrobe and collaborated with Sharon Stone to provide basic essentials to those in need.
As of January 12, multiple fires have ravaged Los Angeles County, destroying over 10,000 properties and forcing over 105,000 people to evacuate. There have been 24 reported deaths.
