AceShowbiz - "Southern Charm" star Craig Conover, 35, finally spoke out about his split from "Summer House" star Paige DeSorbo, 32. In a video on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, January 7, he weighed in on his doomed relationship, "This has all been very, very unexpected to say the least."

Conover admitted that the breakup, which came "right before the holidays," was "very shocking." He emphasized that "it takes two people to be in a relationship" and that he has been trying to "control how [he] react[s] to it."

He requested kindness for both Paige and himself, noting that they had been close friends and now face an adjustment period as they navigate their new normal. "It's still processing everything, which is normal. Three-year relationship. It's your best friend who you talk to all day, every day, and then they're just gone," Conover said.

Despite the split, Conover expressed gratitude for the support he has received and acknowledged that "it's just life."

Before their split, Conover said he "pretty much stopped drinking" to improve his relationship with Paige and wanted to settle down with her. On his show, he further revealed that he had taken a precaution step to preserve his fertility.

DeSorbo previously confirmed the breakup on her podcast, "Giggly Squad." She stated that she "has so much love and respect for Craig" and described him as "one of the best people [she had] ever met." She emphasized that the decision was mutual.
