'The Bachelorette' alum Jenn Tran reveals her plans to head back to school to complete her master's degree and pursue her dreams of becoming a physician's assistant.

AceShowbiz - Jenn Tran, the trailblazing Asian-American bachelorette from season 21 of "The Bachelorette", is set to return to her academic roots early next year to complete her master's degree and embark on a career as a physician's assistant. At 27, Tran is excited yet apprehensive about re-entering the educational arena.
"Honestly, I will say it's really intimidating to go back," Tran confides. She had paused her master's studies after being selected as a contestant for season 28 of "The Bachelor", followed by her role as the bachelorette and a stint on season 33 of "Dancing with the Stars". Now, the realization of how much time she has taken off is setting in, prompting her to get her paperwork in order and register for courses starting in March.
Returning to school won't be easy for Tran. "I have a lot of work before going back to school, just refresher courses and things like that to get back to the level that I was at," she explains.
Her path involves completing the second year of coursework and participating in rotations that will immerse her in clinical settings alongside doctors, PAs, and nurses. "I finished two rotations already, so I only have six more to go and then I'm free, and then I'm a PA, which is also really scary," she adds.
Despite the challenges, Tran's passion for medicine keeps her motivated. "I've been wanting to study medicine my whole life, and it's just something that feels like I would regret if I didn't finish," she asserts.
Her time on "The Bachelorette" and subsequent fame have presented unique challenges, including concerns about future patients recognizing her from TV. "I didn't want to be giving someone a physical exam and them being like, 'Oh my God, you're Jenn Tran. I know everything about you,' " she says, preparing herself for what she anticipates to be a "weird experience."
Tran's social media presence, bolstered by her reality TV fame, offers her a unique opportunity to bring her followers along on her academic journey. "I was already on TikTok sharing my day-to-day life in physician assistant school, and a casting producer [from The Bachelor] came across my TikToks and reached out to me," she reveals.
Her fan base, largely rooted in the medical community, is excited to see her return to what she loves.
While her primary focus remains on her studies, Tran is open to balancing her academic and professional goals with potential opportunities in entertainment. "I am going to be very, very busy with school, but I want to also still have my toe dipped into this whole new world that L.A. has opened me up to," she shares.
The future holds many possibilities for this multifaceted young woman, who embodies the spirit of pursuing one's passions against all odds.
