AceShowbiz - With the release of "Captain America: Brave New World" just around the corner, ScreenRant has unveiled a new image featuring Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson and Danny Ramirez's Joaquin Torres teaming up in the upcoming sequel.
In the wake of Steve Rogers' retirement, Sam Wilson has inherited the mantle of Captain America. Alongside Joaquin Torres, who now dons the mantle of Falcon, Wilson embarks on a new adventure as he continues to navigate his role as the defender of humanity. However, their mission takes a dangerous turn when they encounter Thaddeus Ross, the newly elected U.S. President, who harbors a sinister plan known as Red Hulk.
The film marks a significant milestone for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Sam Wilson becomes the first character to fully embrace a titular mantle previously held by another. With the legacy of the Avengers hanging in the balance, the movie sets the stage for Wilson's potential leadership of the team in future installments.
Joining the cast alongside Mackie and Ramirez are Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross, Tim Blake Nelson as The Leader, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Lumbly and Shira Haas. Directed by Julius Onah, "Captain America: Brave New World" is scheduled to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, as the first of three Marvel Studios releases that year, followed by "Thunderbolts" and "Fantastic Four: The First Steps".
