AceShowbiz - Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos is scheduled to meet with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday, December 17, a source familiar with the meeting confirmed to TheWrap.
CNN's Alayna Treene noted, "Trump is scheduled to meet with Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos on Tuesday at Mar-a-Lago, a source familiar with the meeting tells me," in a post on X. "The visit comes as Trump has met with major CEOs in recent weeks."
The meeting comes as Trump has been meeting with major CEOs in recent weeks, including Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew and Apple CEO Tim Cook. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is also expected to visit this week.
The incoming Trump administration has raised concerns for tech companies, including threats of a crackdown on censorship and tariffs on imported goods.
Sarandos' wife Nicole Avant is a longtime Democratic donor and served as President Barack Obama's Ambassador to the Bahamas. Sarandos has also donated to Democrats in the past, although his contributions have tapered off in recent years.
No further details of the meeting were immediately available, but the visit follows Trump's recent settlement with ABC News, which agreed to publicly apologize and donate $15 million to a presidential foundation.
