AceShowbiz - Apple TV+ has announced the renewal of the critically acclaimed series "Silo," led by Rebecca Ferguson, for two additional seasons. The show, which delves into the lives of the last ten thousand people on Earth, will culminate in its fourth season, concluding the adaptation of Hugh Howey's bestselling dystopian trilogy.
The eagerly awaited series debuted its first season in May 2023 and is currently streaming its second season with new episodes released every Friday through January 17, 2025.
"It has been a richly rewarding experience to adapt Hugh's epic novels with our partners at Apple," said Executive Producer and Showrunner Graham Yost in a statement. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this complete story to the screen over the course of four seasons."
"Silo" follows the story of Juliette, an engineer portrayed by Ferguson, who embarks on a perilous quest for answers about a loved one's murder, unearthing a mystery far deeper than she could have imagined. Ferguson, who also serves as an executive producer on the series, expressed her enthusiasm for continuing the narrative.
"I've loved every minute of bringing Juliette to the screen and I am immensely proud of what we've all created with Silo since the first episode. I have always felt passionately about telling the entire story contained within Hugh Howey's books, so I couldn't be happier that audiences around the world have enthusiastically embraced the show," she said.
The second season features a star-studded cast including Tim Robbins, Common, Steve Zahn, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Clare Perkins, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen.
Produced for Apple TV+ by Apple Studios, "Silo" boasts a team of esteemed executive producers alongside Yost and Ferguson, including Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Morten Tyldum, Hugh Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and AMC Studios.
With two more seasons to go, viewers can look forward to an "incredibly satisfying conclusion to the many mysteries and unanswered questions contained within the walls of these silos," as Yost promises. Don't miss the unfolding drama every Friday on Apple TV+, as the journey to the series finale promises to be as thought-provoking and compelling as its inception.
