The 32-year-old was not wearing her new diamond ring when she attended an event promoting her new movie "Emilia Perez" with her co-star Zoe Saldana over the weekend. She flashed her bare left hand as she waved to fans while arriving at the Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 14.
While Selena left her left hand ringless, she wore a ring on her right hand. The former Disney Channel star exuded old glamor in a black velvet skirt with a white blouse topped with a black coat. Her short hair was perfectly coiffed and parted to the side as she added a touch of bright red lips to her natural-look makeup.
The Saturday outing marks Selena's first official public appearance since she revealed that she got engaged to Benny. On December 11, she took to her Instagram account to share the news along with photos of her engagement ring.
The ring, which features a large marquise diamond, is estimated to be worth around $225,000. The jewelry piece is also believed to be a subtle nod to Selena's hit "Good for You", which lyrics include marquise diamond.
Meanwhile, Benny followed up Selena's post with images shared on his Instagram Story and TikTok on December 14. The record producer shared never-before-seen images from his proposal, which took place on a soundstage made to look like a park, complete with extensive lighting and camera equipment. In addition to a Taco Bell meal, the couple also enjoyed a Champagne toast.
Selena has since been showered with congratulatory messages following the engagement announcement. Among those who reacted to the news was her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner, who commented on Instagram, "Couldn't be happier for you two."
The "Only Murders in the Building" actress and the "Twilight Saga" movies star briefly dated in 2009. The 32-year-old hunk is now happily married to Taylor Dome, a nurse from California. The pair tied the knot in November 2022 after they started dating in 2018.
