In a new interview, 'The Princess Diaries' actress Anne Hathaway reveals a unique item on her bucket list: she desperately wants to star in a festive holiday movie.

AceShowbiz - Anne Hathaway is on a mission to brighten up your holidays. The beloved actress, known for her versatile roles, revealed a surprising addition to her professional bucket list: she is "desperate" to make a Christmas movie.

In a recent interview with Women's Wear Daily, Hathaway expressed her strong desire to dive into the festive film genre. "I haven't made a great Christmas movie," she confessed. "I know that's a weird bucket list thing, but I'm desperate to make a Christmas movie."

Despite her aspiration to explore new genres, Hathaway remains grateful for the variety of roles she has taken on throughout her career. "There's a lot of different ways your career can go as an actor, and I'm very, very, very aware of that," she noted. "I'm genuinely amazed that this is the version that I'm having."

Anne also reflected on her iconic roles in "The Princess Diaries" and "The Devil Wears Prada," eagerly anticipating their sequels. "I was so beautifully cared for on both of those films," Hathaway said. "I was a baby, like a legal child, when I made Princess Diaries - I turned 18 while we were making it. And I was a very, very young woman when I made Devil Wears Prada."

She expressed deep appreciation for the supportive communities on those film sets, guided by directors Garry Marshall and David Frankel. "Now that I have the knowledge and the experience and the confidence to take care of other people on sets in which I'm looked at as a leader, I'm so excited," she added.

Hathaway's upcoming collaboration with acclaimed director Christopher Nolan has also stirred excitement. The still-untitled project, featuring a star-studded cast including Zendaya Coleman, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, and Lupita Nyong'o, is shrouded in secrecy.

"I have so many feelings about it that I don't even know how to articulate," she said. "It fills me with so much joy, and I don't know how to talk about it."

Hathaway previously joined Nolan's cinematic universe in "Interstellar" and "The Dark Knight Rises," making this her third project with the heralded filmmaker. "To be invited into their world is, I mean, I know from experience it's one of the best places you can find yourself," she expressed.

"Getting to be invited twice really felt like something, three felt like it would've been greedy, so I never let myself hope that that would happen, and that it has makes me emotional, to be perfectly honest. It makes me feel like I'm doing something right."

While fans eagerly wait for Hathaway's holiday wish to come true, it's clear that she continues to evolve as an actress and a leader in the film industry. Whether sending festive cheer through a future Christmas movie or revisiting cherished roles, Hathaway's career remains as dynamic and inspiring as ever.
