AceShowbiz - Morgan Wallen has been sentenced for his viral drunken chair-throwing incident. On Thursday, December 12, Judge Cynthia Chappell ordered Wallen to serve one week at a DUI Education Center and two years on probation. He was also fined $350 and court fees. As part of a conditional plea agreement, Wallen does not face a conviction. Upon successful completion of his probation, the charges against him may be dismissed and expunged.
Wallen's lawyer, Worrick Robinson IV, stated that his client "has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved." Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.
The incident occurred in April at Chief's, a bar owned by country singer Eric Church. Police reported that Wallen hurled a chair off the sixth-floor balcony, landing three feet away from officers. He was arrested and charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
After his arrest, Wallen expressed regret on social media, saying, "I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks... I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility."
Despite the incident, Wallen's career has remained largely unaffected. In October, his track "Love Somebody" reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
