As Lil Durk's intricate legal battles continue to unfold following his murder-for-hire arrest, he faces fresh allegations linking him to another similar assassination plot.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Lil Durk, currently incarcerated in Los Angeles, finds himself amid fresh legal turmoil. Newly unsealed court records link the Chicago artist to a 2022 alleged murder-for-hire involving the fatal shooting of Stephon Mack. This incident is suspected to be a retaliation for the 2021 murder of Durk's brother, Dontay "DThang" Banks.

DJ Akademiks shed light on these developments via social media, citing unsealed documents that reportedly implicate Durk. While no official charges have been filed in Mack's case, these accusations add another layer to Durk's complex legal situation. Already, he's embroiled in a separate murder-for-hire plot that could result in a life sentence if convicted.

Durk's brother, DThang, was tragically killed outside of Club O near Chicago at the age of 32, an event that deeply affected the rapper. Authorities allege that Durk played a kingpin role in "Only the Family" (OTF), a gang involved in several violent acts, including the 2022 shooting targeting Quando Rondo's cousin, Lul Pab, in retaliation for King Von's 2020 death.

As it stands, Lil Durk and five alleged OTF affiliates face multiple charges, including conspiracy and the use of firearms in committing crimes of violence. If found guilty, these charges could bring a maximum life sentence for Durk and his co-defendants.

Amidst these legal battles, Durk's legal team remains vigilant. They recently countered prosecution claims that Durk referenced Lul Pab's death in his music. "When you see an artist's rap lyrics quoted as 'evidence' against them, it is a glaring indication that there is no real evidence against that person," they told TMZ Hip Hop.

In addition to these allegations, tensions in Chicago have escalated following the vandalism of a mural dedicated to Durk's late friend, King Von. This act sparked online debates about ongoing efforts to tarnish Durk's legacy, further complicating the social and legal landscape surrounding the rapper.

As the investigation into Stephon Mack's murder continues, Durk's legal team faces mounting pressure to address these new claims alongside existing charges. With his trial tentatively scheduled for January 7, 2025, but possibly postponed, the rapper's future hangs in the balance.
