AceShowbiz - On Thursday, December 5, Spanish actor Jose de la Torre sadly passed away at the age of 37 after a battle with a mystery illness. The actor's death was reported on December 5 by Montilla Digital, who were the first to announce his passing. A funeral for the "Toy Boy" star took place on December 6 in Montilla, Spain.
De la Torre revealed in June that he had been diagnosed with a "serious illness." He began receiving treatment for the undisclosed illness and stepped away from the spotlight to focus on his health.
Spanish actress Luisa Martin expressed her grief on Instagram, sharing a photo of de la Torre and writing, "I don't think about you in the past baby! No because I know you'll keep organizing every dinner and every space. Fly as high as you know you are light, a very bright light that will illuminate us all."
Spanish actress and singer Lolita Flores also paid tribute to de la Torre on Instagram, saying, "How hard it is for me to accept that you are gone, without even knowing you. I met you in the play Salome. We shared very few hours, but your 37 years hurt me, how unfair life is sometimes, handsome on the outside and on the inside, your departure hurts me, it hurts me, and the pain of those who have loved you hurts me."
De la Torre starred in the Netflix series "Toy Boy", which aired for two seasons from 2019 to 2021. He also appeared in "Amar es para siempre", "Vis a Vis: El Oasis" and "Servir y proteger". In addition to acting, de la Torre modeled for various fashion, jewelry and accessory brands.
