AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg has had something to say about the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show. The "Drop It Like It's Hot" hitmaker appeared to have told Lil Wayne to stop "crying" about not being chosen as the headliner at the big event.

On Saturday, December 7, a video from the hip-hop artist's recent interview made its rounds on Instagram. In the short clip, it could be seen that he had a sit-down to discuss the forthcoming sports event, which will be held on February 9, 2025.

During the serious conversation, Snoop said, "What we need to think about is that before Jay-Z got control of the Super Bowl, would no n***as performing. So, let's go back to the beginning of this. He's creating a way for artists to have an opportunity to perform. If you are a good artist and you are a great artist, your term will come."

Snoop went on to share, "I was never crying about it or mad about it. When Dr. Dre called me and asked me to get his back, I was there for him. But I didn't feel like I was supposed to be there and demanded to be there."

The "Gin and Juice" rapper stressed, "This is a big event. People look at everything when they pick the person to perform." He additionally suggested, "You should just be honored that hip-hop is being able to be seen on that platform for all of us and not hate on the next man."

The statement came after Kendrick Lamar was announced as the headliner at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, the announcement sparked controversy with some people believing that Lil Wayne should have been chosen as the performer in his own hometown instead of K.Dot.

In September, Lil Wayne expressed his disappointment in a video, saying, "It hurt a lot. But y'all are f**king amazing. It made me feel like s**t. And when I felt like s**t, you guys reminded me that I ain't s**t. That's an amazing reality. So, like I said, it broke me. And I'm just trying to put me back together but my God have you all help me."
