Marvel star Elizabeth Olsen is set to join Julia Roberts for 'Panic Carefully,' a paranoid thriller directed by 'Mr. Robot' creator Sam Esmail for Warner Brothers.

AceShowbiz - Elizabeth Olsen and Julia Roberts will star together in "Panic Carefully," a new Warner Bros. thriller directed by Sam Esmail. Esmail, who previously directed Roberts in "Leave the World Behind," wrote the script and will also produce the film alongside Chad Hamilton, Roberts, Scott Stuber, Marisa Yeres Gill, and Lisa Gillan.
The plot of "Panic Carefully" is being kept under wraps, but it is described as a "paranoid thriller" in the vein of Esmail's Emmy-winning TV series "Mr. Robot" and the classic horror film "The Silence of the Lambs."
Warner Bros. acquired the project in a heated bidding war, in part due to its commitment to giving the film a theatrical release. Production is set to begin in England in January.
Olsen is coming off a starring role in Netflix's "His Three Daughters," and she will next be seen in A24's romantic comedy "Eternity." Roberts recently starred in the romantic comedy "Ticket to Paradise" and will next be seen in the thriller "After the Hunt."
Esmail's most recent feature was the 2023 Netflix thriller "Leave the World Behind," which starred Roberts alongside Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, and Myha'la. He is also an executive producer on the upcoming A24 thriller "Famous," starring Zac Efron and Phoebe Dynevor.
