AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey has given her response to artificial intelligence rumors surrounding her recent video. Instead of making her fans satisfied with her explanation, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hitmaker was trolled over the shocking response.
On Thursday, December 5, the legendary singer made use of X, formerly known as Twitter, to shut down the speculations suggesting that the clip was generated by AI. In a tweet, she asked, "Bad lighting and a red lip have you all thinking this is AI??"
Mariah went on to say, "There's a reason I'm not a fan of either of those things!" Near the end of the tweet, she voiced her excitement for her upcoming show, "About to celebrate #Christmastime with my Boston #lambily!" adding a slew of red heart with arrow emojis.
Mariah was replying to a tweet that featured a video of her expressing her appreciation for her fans, who are famously known as Lambily, for listening to her music on Spotify. In the short clip, it could be seen that she was sitting down in front of some decorated Christmas trees. The songstress, who only blinked twice in the footage, appeared to be reading a script from a teleprompter.
It did not take long for Mariah's tweet to be reposted by a blog via Instagram, prompting social media users to voice their thoughts on it. In the comments section, one in particular argued, "Bruh Mariah Carey brought her lighting to thanksgiving dinner it's AI FOR ME." Another asked, "Bad lighting...? And YOU approved it? At least tell a believable lie, Mimi," adding a laughing face emoji.
A third penned, "I think you talking like a robot and stiffly moving maybe had people thinking it but what do I know." A fourth claimed, "I literally just finished watching this on Spotify and definitely asked is this AI?" A fifth added, "Don't piss us off for Christmas Ms Mariah."
