It is reported that the former Ginger Spice has blocked Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie C and Emma Bunton from earning £1million each for a TV drama series.

AceShowbiz - Geri Halliwell apparently is not interested in starring on a new series about Spice Girls. It has been reported that the former Ginger Spice has prevented the TV drama show about the girl group from happening.

On Tuesday, November 26, a source spilled that members of the music group, which consists of Geri, Victoria Beckham (formerly known as Victoria Adams), Melanie Brown, Melanie C and Emma Bunton, "were approached about a TV drama series." However, "talks were positive until" Geri allegedly "put the brakes" on it.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, the source said, "It would have seen five actresses taking on the roles of Posh, Ginger, Scary, Sporty and Baby. The venture would have landed them all pay deals of around £1million for essentially not lifting a finger."

The insider went on to share, "But as the negotiations ramped up, the others were told Geri had objected." As a result, "the plans have basically been thrown out." The insider explained, "They wanted to have the agreement of all of the band and without Geri it's hard to make it happen."

According to the insider, "talks took place with Left Bank Pictures," a British film and television production company behind a Netflix show titled "The Crown". The insider claimed that "the plans fell through this summer." On the reason why, Geri reportedly "mentioned the possibility of working on her own TV show."

The revelation came one month after another informant revealed that Geri was spotted with who appeared to be videographers. The informant said that the 52-year-old English singer/songwriter was seen with her husband Christian Horner, who is an F1 boss, in Los Angeles, California. Both of them allegedly were followed by "a camera crew."

Geri left Spice Girls back in 1998 due to "exhaustion and creative differences." However, she later rejoined the girl group for two tours. The last time she, Victoria, Mel B, Mel C and Emma performed together on stage was at the 2012 London Olympics. Earlier this year, they reunited for Victoria's 50th birthday.
