AceShowbiz - The fourth season of "Abbott Elementary" has seen a significant increase in viewership since its premiere, reaching nearly 9 million total viewers across multiple platforms in its first 35 days.
The premiere episode reached 3.5 million viewers in the 18-49 age group after 35 days, up from a live + same-day rating of 0.4. It also surpassed the Season 3 finale in both total viewers (9 million vs. 8 million) and the 18-49 rating (3.5 vs. 2.9).
The most recent episode, which aired on November 6, reached 6.33 million cross-platform viewers in seven days, a 210% increase from its live + same-day audience. It also boasts a 2.21 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, a 689% increase.
Despite a dip in live + same-day viewership, "Abbott Elementary" has more than compensated on the streaming side, with episodes now available on both Disney+ and Hulu. This indicates that the show continues to maintain its popularity with audiences.
The series, which follows a group of teachers at an underfunded elementary school, returns on December 4 with a one-hour holiday special featuring back-to-back episodes. It airs Wednesdays at 8 P.M. ET/PT and is produced by Warner Bros. Television.
