In a TikTok video shared on Monday, November 25, Grande revealed that the family outing took place at the Cinemark 20 theater, a venue she grew up visiting every weekend.
The special screening wasn't limited to just Grande and her Nonna. Grande's boyfriend and co-star Ethan Slater, who stars as Boq in the film adaptation of the Broadway hit, joined them along with her brother Frankie Grande and more family members. "Flew to Boca for a day to watch with Nonna," Ariana captioned a photo on her Instagram story, where she can be seen sitting beside her grandmother and brother.
During the movie, the family shared many tender moments, with Grande capturing a particularly delightful one where her grandmother exclaimed, "oh I LOVE that," during a drum solo by a sugar glider in the movie. Grande also tagged the film’s director Jon M. Chu in her post, expressing her grandmother's joy.
