AceShowbiz - Breakups are never easy. But navigating life post-breakup under public scrutiny can be even more challenging, especially when unresolved matters linger between the ex-lovers or ex-spouses. While some exes manage to stay amicable, at least in public, others make no effort to hide their ongoing tensions.
From legal battle over financial issue to allegations of cheating and domestic abuse, these are just a few of the issues fueling conflicts between quarreling exes. As the year draws to a close, let's take a look at some of the most suspenseful drama between former celebrity couples in 2024 so far.
1. Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan's relationship had been full of drama since the beginning. While their love seemed to withstand all controversies regarding their age gap at first, they eventually broke up after more than a year of dating. "I think it's off. It's off, it is off," Larsa confirmed in July. Since then, neither of them has held back in expressing their feelings post-breakup.
In August, the star of "The Real Housewives of Miami" and Porsha Williams appeared to take a jab at Marcus, who was caught snorting a suspicious white substance in France. The next month, Marcus threw shade at his ex-girlfriend, suggesting that she "belongs to the streets."
2. Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia

Larsa Pippen isn't the only Real Housewife who went through a breakup this year. Porsha Williams pulled the plug on her marriage to Simon Guobadia in February, 15 months after they tied the knot in a traditional Nigerian wedding.
Amid the divorce proceeding, they went back-and-forth on social media, with Simon accusing Porsha of cheating on him and the reality TV star shading her ex-husband with a post about erectile dysfunction. Luckily, they had a prenuptial agreement that is likely to be upheld, ensuring a smooth division of their assets.
3. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's relationship has been captured on camera for "The Valley" and the drama likely won't end despite their split. In August, Brittany filed for divorce to end their five-year marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Following their split, Jax entered an inpatient treatment to work on his mental health.
However, according to Brittany, his 30 days of treatment didn't change him one bit. "A lot of rage texting and stuff was still going on the entire time that he was in rehab. So, for me, I was just noticing like, this is just going to be constant," she said on Bravo's "Hot Mic" podcast. She claimed Jax would still call her names and "cuss [her] out" while doing "therapy 7 hours a day," which is why she's confident her ex is "never gonna change."
4. Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose

After their marriage in October 1013, Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose's honeymoon period only lasted for several months before he filed for divorce in May of this year. The former couple cited inappropriate marital conduct as the reason for divorce and the country music star asked the court to grant him an annulment, claiming their marriage was obtained by fraud.
The 63-year-old singer also accused Firerose of physical, verbal and emotional abuse, and isolating him from his family. Firerose, on the other hand, claimed that Miley Cyrus' father subjected her to "systematic isolation" during their marriage, an allegation which he denied. Their bitter divorce eventually concluded in August when it was finalized, but Firerose received no financial settlement.
5. Christina Haack and Josh Hall

Christina Haack (formerly Christina El Moussa) and Josh Hall have been fighting over money after they filed for divorce in July. Speaking out for the first time about their breakup, Christina called out her "insecure" estranged husband for seemingly trying to squeeze money out of her.
In his defense, Josh said he wanted "to handle the divorce like an adult-in the courts, not in social media and the tabloids," and accused his ex of "creating public spectacles." They later fought over the sale of her Tennessee home, where Josh has been living, and he denied her claim that he asked $65,000 monthly in spousal support.
6. Cardi B and Offset

Cardi B and Offset, who had separated several times before, eventually called it quits after nearly seven years of marriage, but not before he impregnated her with their third child together. One day after she filed for divorce in July, she announced her third pregnancy and she gave birth to a baby girl in September.
Instead of celebrating the arrival of their third child together, the estranged spouses were involved in a heated drama with the former Migos star accusing the Bronx femcee of cheating on him. While she did not deny his allegations, the Grammy Award-winning raptress has gone on a rant against her estranged husband, calling him a "loser" and a "dirty a** narcissistic piece of s**t."
7. Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev

Everybody knows this isn't going to end well with Nikki Garcia a.k.a. Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev after he was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge in late August, just days after they celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Nikki eventually filed for divorce in September.
Charges against the professional dancer were dropped later in September, but Nikki later obtained a restraining order against her estranged husband in October. In a sworn declaration, she detailed his alleged violent behavior, which she claimed happened several times during their marriage. She also stated that the former "Dancing with the Stars" pro needed therapy and anger management help.
8. Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry

Still fresh from the oven is Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry's split. Just hours after the country music star shockingly announced the end of their relationship in October, his ex broke down in an emotional video, saying that she was "completely blindsided" by his decision.
Brianna then claimed that Zach and his team offered her $12 million to stay silent, which she declined. Seemingly holding the ace card, she has since accused her ex of abuse. Instead of denying the allegations, the 28-year-old musician has remained silence, prompting Brianna to threaten to release "all the videos and the recordings."
