During an episode of his YouTube show "Talk With Flee", Cam'ron recalled sharing the stage with Jay-Z to perform "Welcome to New York City," marking a significant moment after years of tension between them.

However, after the performance, Jay-Z sent Cam'ron a text that left him puzzled. Jay-Z expressed that they could accomplish more if they stopped acting like there was fake beef. "I didn't know what to make of it," Cam'ron admitted. "I was like, 'Why would he even text that?'"

Despite his confusion, Cam'ron acknowledged Jay-Z's role in his success and expressed no ill will towards him. However, he also admitted that the text left him with a sense of unease. "Inside, I'm like, 'Why would he even text that?' I don't know. Even to this day, I don't have no problem but I thought that was weird," he said.
