DJ Akademiks praises the 'Family Matters' rapper for his 'super strategic move' by making peace with Thugger, but Thug's father blasts other rappers who are allegedly using his son for 'personal gain.'

AceShowbiz - Drake has literally gone the extra mile to show his support for Young Thug. Following the Atlanta rapper's release from jail, the Canadian superstar has reportedly flown out to visit Thugger and give him $1 million.

Drizzy's alleged generosity was revealed by DJ Akademiks, who praised the action as a "super strategic move." During his livestream on Friday, November 8, the podcaster said, "When Thug got out jail, they say two hours afterward, Drake flew to Thug and allegedly gave him a mil. Drake didn't tell me this."

The "Off the Record with DJ Akademiks" host added, "By the way, super strategic move. Thug was in jail talking about let's squash all this beef. Drake needs Atlanta."

Prior to this, Drake had been calling for Thug's freedom. In October, he even hinted at using his money to help the latter fight his RICO charge. "I ain't talking to talk man," he wrote on his Instagram Story along with a selfie. "I really put [bread] on the [bag] 3 Jeff." Drake did not mention Thug by his stage name, but the emojis made his message clear. He also likely referred to Thugger by his real name Jeffery Lamar Williams.

Besides Drake, the likes of T.I., Travis Scott (II), Metro Boomin, Sexyy Red and Mariah The Scientist have celebrated Thug's release. Instead of appreciating their support, Thug's father have blasted these rappers, asking where they were when Thug was still in jail and accusing them of using his son for "personal gain."

"Where your a** been for 29 months," he asked. "Now you wanna talk to him, you wanna put out these monkey a** videos, all this for your personal gain. - I don't see where you deserve no brownie points for that s**t."

He claimed that he reached out to T.I. in hopes that he could hold an event to rally support for Thug, but it never happened. He added, "If the shoe was on the other foot he would have been fighting for you, hands down. Without trying to make a prop for his name so he could get some clout. - Let's be real with this s**t. What side y'all play because I don't get it."
