Cavallari claimed that Spears' manager reached out to her publicist and set up a group chat with the pop star. After receiving a "roller coaster" text message from Spears, Cavallari expressed her initial fear, but later became excited at the prospect of meeting the singer.
However, Cavallari's hopes were dashed when Spears never responded to her private message outside of the group thread. She expressed disappointment, stating that she felt it was "all bulls**t" and that Spears was simply trying to silence her for her conspiracy theories.
According to a source for Page Six, Spears was complimentary to Cavallari in the messages and was not intentionally trying to slight her. The source claims that Spears was out of the country and unable to respond to Cavallari's one-on-one text.
Despite her frustration, Cavallari maintains her desire to be friends with Spears, saying, "I still want to hang out, Britney. I love you." However, Spears has not publicly commented on the podcast episode.
